Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical value of spiral CT in diagnosis of acute intestinal obstruction. Methods A retrospective analysis of 107 cases with acute intestinal operation was performed for spiral CT data and abdominal doppler ultrasound data, and the diagnoses by the two ones were compared. Results For the intestinal obstruction, spiral CT had an accuracy of 59.8% for localization diagnosis,an accuracy of 43.0% for qualitative diagnosis, and an accuracy of 63.2% for the diagnosis of strangulated intestinal obstruction. There was significant difference between the results by spiral CT and those by abdominal Doppler ultrasound, with P0.05.Conclusion Spiral CT behaves better than abdominal Doppler ultrasound for the diagnosis of acute intestinal obstruction, and can determine the site, pathogenic factors and the existence of strangulated intestinal obstruction, and thus can provide instruction for clinical treatment.
