Abstract
:The synthesis of adipates were performed by esterification of adipic a cid and alcohol in catalysis of p-toluenesulfonic acid loaded on active carbon o r charcoal under microwave irradiation. The optimal reaction conditions were as follows:the mole ratio of adipic acid to alcohol was 1:4; the concentration of p-toluenesulphonic acid solution was 25%; the weights of catalyst, microwave po wer, and microwave irradiation time were 0.8g, 600W, and 45s respectively. The c onversion ratio of adipic acid in these reactions was high moreover the catalyst can be easily separated and used repeatedly.
