Comparison Analysis on Coupling Relationship and Coordinated Development of Tourism Economy and Ecological Environment System:A Case of Shanghai and Xi'an City

Based on coordination theory and sustainable development theory,this article develops the concept model and mathematical model of the relationship between tourism economy and eco environment,in order to achieve an empirical analysis on the harmonious development of tourism economy and the eco-environment of Shanghai and Xi'an during the years 2001-2009.Results show that:(1) The tourism economy and the eco environment share a positive interaction and harmonious development with a coupling coordination.(2) The interaction and feedback between tourism economy and the eco environment is the direct reason for their coupling relationship,and the differences in industrial structure,tourism resources,market customers,urbanization,geography,climate is the deep-seated reasons of formation the coupling relationship.(3)The appraisal system of coupling coordination can conduct effective analysis of the coupling relationship and the stage of coordinated development,serving as an important instrument for the quantitative analysis of the sustainable development of tourism.
