Effects of Neural Rehabilitation in Treating Stroke with Anxiety and Depression

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of neural rehabilitation in treating stroke with anxiety and depression.Method 87 stroke with anxiety and depression patients were randomly divided into two groups,studied group were given paroxetine hydrochloride and psychotherapy at the same time with rehabilitation therapy.While those in control group were only given paroxetine hydrochloride and psychotherapy.Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Activities of daily life(ADL)and Fugl Meyer assessment(FMA)were assessed in each patients in pre-treatment and 8 weeks later.Result After 8 weeks,the reduced scale of the HAMD and HAMA,FMA scores ADL scores raised in studied group were superior to those in control group(P0.01).Conclusion Neutral rehabilitation have obviously therapeutic effect on stroke with anxiety and depression patients.
