Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Qishen Fukang capsule(QSFK)on the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters in cerebral tissue of rats with chronic fatigue syndrome in order to find out the possible mechanism of anti-stress action.METHODS The chronic fatigue animal model was induced by the application of complex stress factors,50 Wistar male rats were randomly divided into four groups :control group, model group,Sheng Qi tablet group, low dose and high dose QSFK treating group. The rats in all treating group were orally given with drugs per day,15 days later all rats were sacrificed, the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters NE,DA,5-HT and 5-HIAA in cerebral tissue were detected by fluorescence method.RESULTS The contents of NE,DA,5-HT and 5-HIAA in cerebral tissue in the treating groups were significantly higher than the control group(P0.01),but there were no obvious differences between the treating groups(P0.05).CONCLUSION QSFK can improve the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters in cerebral tissue of chronic fatigue rats, which maybe related to the pharmacological mechanism of anti-stress action.
