Abstract
Objective: To compare the therapeatic effects of ventricular arrhythmia with sotalol and propafenone. Methods: 30 cases of patients with ventricular arrhythmia were randomly chosen and treated with sotalol and 24 cases were treated with propafenone. Changes of Holter were observed and assessed four weeks before and after taking drugs. Results: The effective rate was 73.7% and 70.8% respectively in sotalol and propafenone treatment group. There were no significant side effects among two groups. Conclusion: The effective rate of treatment of ventricular arrhythmia with sotalol is a little higher than that with propafenone but there are no significant difference between the treatment effects of two drugs.
