Analysis of prescription in emergency department of our hospital

Abstract

Objective To investigate the situation of the emergency prescription in our hospital and to improve the rational drug use. Methods A total of 5694 emergency prescriptions were selected randomly in our hospital from January to July in 2011. Results There were 232 irrational prescriptions,accounting for 4. 07% ,mainly included prescription writing and irrational drug use. Conclusion The prescription writing and drug use in the emergency department in our hospital is rational on the whole,yet the prescription management should be enhanced. Therefore,doctors and pharmacists should study and update the knowledge of rational drug use.
