Abstract
Objective:To investigate the mechanism of uterine myoma and the expression rate and clinical significance of estrogen receptor ( ER) ,progestin receptor ( PR) ,vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) and its receptors ( VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 ) in the pathogenesis of uterine myoma.Methods:Immunohisto-chemical SP method was used to detect the expressions of 3 receptors in 30 specimens of uterine leiomyoma and their corresponding myometrium. Results:The positive expression rates of ER and PR in uterine myoma were 60.00% and 70.00%,and in their corresponding myometrium were 40.00% and 43.33% respectively. There was significant difference between these two groups(P0.05) .The expression of VEGF and its receptors in myoma were much higher than those in normal myometrium,no matter during the proliferative phase or the secretory phase(P0.01) .The expression of VEGFR2 was much higher than VEGFR1.Conclusions:ER、PR、VEGF all are the reflected biological index about the pathogenesis of uterine myoma. We hope that the antagonists of ER、PR、VEGF and its receptors are developed to make atrophy or apoptosis of uterine myoma, and it can be a new treatment to the uterine myoma.
