Abstract

Objective To study the clinical efficacy and safety of the repaglinide in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 58 patients with a clear diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected and administered repaglinide 0.5~4.0mg 15~30 minutes before meals,3 times a day on the basic of diabetic diet and adequate exercise. They were treated for 12 weeks as a course of treatment. Then observed the changes of fasting blood-glucose (FBG),2h postprandial glucose (2hPG),Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C ),cholesterol (TC),triacylglycero (TG),low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) after treatment. Results The FBG,2hPG,HbA1C ,TC,TG,and LDL-C level of all the patients were lower than before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P0.05).And no serious adverse drug reaction occured. Conclusion It is effective for repaglinide to control the blood glucose of the patients, which can improve blood lipid with few adverse reactions and is worthy of clinical application.
