Current status and influence factors on formaldehyde pollution in indoor air of decoration

Abstract
48 apartments that have been decorated for one month to almost two years are investigated.42 roughcast apartments are selected as a control group,and the concentrations of formaldehyde were determined by acetylacetone spectrophotometry to investigate the status quo of formaldehyde pollution in indoor air of the decorated houses.The results showed that formaldehyde pollution is serious after decorating.The main factors influencing formaldehyde content in indoor air include the quality,the amount of decorating material,time after decoration and indoor temperature.Good airiness is in favor of formaldehyde releasing.
