Abstract
With the prevalence of decorating residential rooms in China,Building materials and decorative materials including formaldehyde is considerably applied to decoration,which has introduced a very serious indoor air pollution problem due to formaldehyde. This paper analysis the formaldehyde release origin and its harm upon human health,introduces test method of formaldehyde content detection. 50 apartments that have been decorated within a year are investigated,and the concentrations of formaldehyde were determined by acetylacetone spectrophotometry to investigate the status quo of formaldehyde pollution in indoor air of the decorated houses. Focusing on doing sample testing research on some of the residence in our city from there different aspects.
