Abstract
Objective To develop a gas chromatography method to determine chlorpyrifos in water. Methods Chlorpyrifos was determined by GC-FPD after extraction by dichloromethane. Qualitative analysis was done by retention time and quantitative analysis by external standard curve. Results The linear range of the method was 0.20-15.00 mg/L, the correlation coefficient was 0.999 9, the rates of recovery were 94.1%-101.9%, the relative standard deviations were 3.7%-7.3%.The detection limit was 0.3 μg/L. Conclusion This method is sensitive, accurate, able to eliminate the interferences and suitable for determination of trace chlorpyrifos in water.
