Effects of"Yiqi Kaimi Decoction"on Slow Transit Constipation and Quality of Life

Objective:To investigate the effect of Yiqi Kaimi Decoctionon the symptoms of slow transit consti-pation and life quality of patients.Methods:A Prospective and randomized clinical study was made and the mosapride was selected as positive control drug.Both the treatment group and control group enrolled 30 patients re-spectively.The course of treatment is of 28 days.Results:The total response rate of Yiqi Kaimi Decoctionis 63.33% and that of mosapride is 46.67%。After treatment,the clinical symptom score and every single score of the both groups were decreased significantly.The treatment group is significantly better than the control group in the items of feces character,abdominal distension and defecation time.The scores of life quality in both group were increased significantly,with no significant difference between the two group.Conclusion:Yiqi Kaimi Decoctionhad certain ef-fects on slow transit constipation and could improve the life quality of the patients.
