Jiangmen Motorcycle Industry Competitiveness Study with "Diamond Model"

Porter's diamond model is given good evaluation since it was proposed.Soon it was applied to analysis of national or industrial competitiveness.However,When it is applied to analysis the industrial competitiveness of developing country such as Chinese,it still exist the flaw.This paper proposes an amended Diamond Model of applying manufacturing industry in China, considering international economic,domestic and overseas demand and government's role in Porter's diamond model.Then,this paper uses a new quantitative measuring method of Diamond Model - Correspondence Analysis.Using this method,the competitiveness of Jiangmen motorcycle industry will be divided into four regional:key advantages,maintaining advantages,more need to improving and most need to improving.From this graph,we can clearly find the advantages and disadvantages of industry,and make policy to improve the competitiveness of industry.Finally,the paper proposes to strengthen the innovation ability,creative high-level element of production,walk the multiplex development path,export multiplex,hold national policy to promote the competitiveness of motorcycle industry in Jiangmen.
