Abstract
This paper modified Porter'sdiamond model, then based on that it analyzed qualitatively the deep-seated reasons of international competitiveness of Chinese textile industry, and concluded that China has good basics and conditions to develop the industry. However, the industry is developed extensively but not intensively. Based on that, the industry is competitive in quantity but not in quality.
