Microsurgical Removal of Large Tuberculum sellae meningiomas

Objective To introduce our experience in the microsurgical removal of tuberculum sellae meningiomas and investigate the selection of surgical approaches and intraoperative keys of tuberculum sellae meningiomas.Methods Clinical data of 15 cases with tuberculum sellae meningiomas were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of these 15 cases,14 cases were removed totally,1 case subtotally removed.No patient died of the surgery.Conclusions It is concluded that satisfactory outcome could be expected when the correct approach used for microsurgical operation on patient with large tuberculum sellae meningiomas.
