Abstract
Glycerol triacetate was synthesized from glacial acetic acid and glycerol catalyzed by the new solid ultra strong acid SO42-/Sb2O3/SiO2 made by myself. The best synthesis condition of glycerol triacetate was investigated. The experiment results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows:when the molar ratio of glacial acetic acid to glycerol was 1.0:2.0,the dosage of SO42-/Sb2O3/SiO2 was 2.0% and reactive time was 4 hour. The esterification yield reached to 98%.The product was characterized by refractive index and IR.
