Abstract
Using p-toluensulphonic acid supported by activated carbon as catalyst, glycerol triacetate was synthesized from glacial acetic acid and glycerin. The optimum conditions of the reaction were determined as following: molar ratio of glycerin to glacial acetic acid is 1∶4;the mass of catalyst to total is 1.8%;esterification time is 4 h;w(p-toluensulphonic acid)is 36%.The results show that the yield is over 92%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
