Abstract

This article illustrates several ways about how to achieve equivalence in translation. Equivalence can be achieved from the point of view of the following aspects: formal correspondence and dynamic equivalence( including equivalence in terms of meaning and equivalence in terms of style). However, equivalence is a relative concept. Good translation only aims to reproduce in the receptor language approximately same effect.
