The expression of CD44V6 and PCNA in diffuse type gastric carcinoma and its relation with infiltration and lymph nodes metastasis.

Objective:To study the correlation of expression of CD44V6 and PCNA in gastric carcinoma with infiltrate of tumor and lymph nodes metastasis.Methods:The levels of expression of CD44V6 and PCNA in gastric carcinoma were detected by using lmmunohistochemistry(SP).Result:Express of 112 cases of diffuse type gastric carcinomas were measured CD44V6 for 41 cases(36.6%) and PCNA for 96 cases (85.7%).The positive rate(76.4%) of CD44V6 in the cases with the metastasis lymph node was significantly higher than that(21.73%) in the cases without the metastasis lymph nods( P 0.001),The positive rate(85.3%) of metastasis lymph nodes≥10 were significantly higher than the positive rate 23.8% of metastasis lymph nodes10,( P 0.01).Meanwhile,the positive rate of PCNA(28.5%) in intramucosal and submcosal tumors was much lower than that(93%)in insersosal and extraserosal tumors( P 0.01).Conclusion:This result suggested that CD44V6 and PCNA might be useful criteria for evaluation of infiltration and metastasis gastric carcinoma.
