Analysis on relativity between anxiety degree and coping style of patients with mammary tumor before final diagnosis

Objective To know about the anxiety degree and coping style of patients with mammary tumor before final diagnosis,to analyze the influencing factors of anxiety of them and its relativity with their coping style.Methods A total of 378 patients in our hospital with mammary tumor before final diagnosis were investigated by filling out self-rating anxiety scale and simple coping style questionnaire.Results Anxiety degree of patients with mammary tumor before final diagnosis was more severe than that of domestic norm(t=30.41,P0.01).The difference between positive coping style and negative coping style had statistic meaning,and there were significant difference in terms of anxiety degree of patients with mammary tumor considering different education backgrounds and different professions and scores in different coping styles.Positive coping style were negatively correlated with the anxiety degree of patients with mammary tumor,(t=31.48,P0.01)however,negative coping style were positively correlated with the anxiety degree of patients' family members.(t=20.11,P0.01) Conclusion The anxiety level of patients with mammary tumor was remarkably higher than that of health ones.The more they adopt positive coping style,they would have the lower anxiety level.Conversely,the more they adopt negative coping style,they would have the higher anxiety level.
