Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of the treatment of pantoprazole in stress ulcers.Methods:270 cases of acute and chronic patients, who stayed in ICU due to complications with stress ulcer were randomly divided into three groups,i.e.,treated separately with pantoprazole, famotidine and omeprazole.and then monitored for their pH value for two, four and six days following their treatment administration. Results: The pantoprazole and omeprazole groups had the similar efficiency of the treatment, and the value of pH of their gastric juices was significantly higher than that of the famotidine group(P0.05) Conclusion: Pantoprazole and omeprazole have similar efficiency in the treatment of stress ulcers, and is superior to famotidine.
