Abstract
Based on 2005~2009 panel data of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in 37 industries,we use stochastic frontier production function model(SFA) to examine the intrinsic relationship between industrial RD investment and technique efficiency. Then we divided the industrial sector into four parts according to the efficiency-growth rate relationship. We have the following conclusions: RD has a significant positive role in promoting the industrial technique efficiency; The average industrial technique efficiency increases steadily year by year under RD investment; The divided industrial sector has significantly clustering features or differences in characteristics. Finally, some corresponding policy recommendations are proposed.
