Sources of Technology and the Total Factor Productivity Growth of R&D Innovation: Based on China Regional Big Medium-Sized Industrial Enterprises

Abstract

Taking panel data of Chinese provincial regions' big medium-sized industrial enterprises as sample,based on Malmquist index and DEA model,this paper evaluates the dynamic changes in technological innovation efficiency of 30 provincial regions' big medium-sized industrial enterprises from 2001 to 2010.It uses panel data model to test the relationship of 4 technology channels and industrial RD innovation productivity growth.The results show that: China's large and medium-sized industrial enterprises RD innovation productivity has a certain growth,and the main driving force is technological progress;ERD,FTI and FRD have a significant role in promoting RD innovation productivity,but DTP is not significant;in comparison,the FTI has the largest contribution on RD innovation productivity.
