Clinical observation on therapeutic effect of Yishenhuoxue decoction integrated with western medicine on lupus nephritis

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Yishenhuoxue decoction combined with western medicine on lupus nephritis.Methods 60 patients with lupus nephritis(LN)were randomly divided into two groups.30 patients in control group were treated by hormones and cyclophosphamide;The other 30 patients in treatment group were treated similarly plus Yiqihuoxue decoction.The activity parameters of LN,urinary protein,liver function,serum anti-ds-DNA,complete C3,C4 were evaluated in both groups before and after the treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 93.3%,which was 80% in control group,there was a significant difference between two groups(P0.05);there were significant differences in urinary protein,liver function,serum anti-ds-DNA,complete C3,C4 in both groups before and after the treatment(P0.05 or P0.01);after the treatment there was a significant difference in these parameters between treatment group and control group(P0.05),and those in treatment group were superior to those of control group;there were significant differences in the incidence of adverse reaction and recurrence after treatment between two groups(P0.05),and those in treatment group was lower than those in control group.Conclusion Yiqihuoxue decoction is effective in treating lupus nephritis,which can reduce the side effects of western medicines and decrease complications and recurrent rate.
