Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of S-100 in Colorectal cancer and the relationship between the expression of S-100 and clinincal and pathologic parameters. Methods The S-100 protein was tested by immunohist-ochemical in 46 cases of Colorectal cancer and the normal colon tissue. Results S-100 protein in normal colon tissues is not expressed, but the positive expression rate of S-100 protein were 82.61%(38/46) in colorectal cancer tissues(P0.05);there was relationship between expression of S-100 protein with the degree of differentiation of tumor, lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer, otherwise,no significant relationship with the patient's age, gender, and clinical stage and other factors(P0.05).Conclusion S-100 protein may be related to the incidence and the development of colorectal cancer.
