Abstract

A set of assessment indicator system of the wetland ecosystem was established based on the characters of the wetland ecosystem, the theories and approaches of the ecosystem and the pressure-state-response(PSR) model. The main assessing factors are consists of the press, state and response, which were classified into three types with eleven assessing factors. The data used are including the remote sensor and statistic data. The estuary area was an assessment cell.Based on the indicator system established and data, individual and comprehensive index were evaluated.Based on analysis of status of the wetland ecosystem health, following results were obtained:(1) the wetland ecosystem heath in Daguhe Estuary is not very good, and the CEI is 0.4994.The human disturbance and hydrological adjusting index are the chief influencing factors.(2)The average patch area is very small. And the fabric rationality and the resistibility in the wetland ecosystem were depressed. The conclusion can provide the decision-making base for management, protection and restoration of the wetland in Daguhe Estuary.
