Abstract
Objective To discuss the effect of psychological intervention on symptoms of anxiety and depression in burn patients.Methods Altogether 148 patients with moderate-severe and extremely severe burn were randomly divided into psychological intervention group(experimental group)(76 cases) and control group(72 cases).Patients in both groups were evaluated with Zung's self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and Zung's self-rating depression scale(SDS).Patients in control group accepted regular nursing care and health education,while patients in experimental group accepted regular nursing care,health education as well as pertinent psychological intervention.Patients in both groups were evaluated by SAS and SDS after treatment for two weeks.Results SAS and SDS scores of patients in experimental group were obviously lower than those of control group after psychological intervention(P0.05).Conclusion It is helpful to reduce the negative emotion and enhance the confidence of patients through psychological intervention.It will encourage patients to actively cooperate with treatment and nursing care,and it will reduce the rate of complications and speed up wound healing.
