Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC method to determine the contents of palmatine and jatrorrhizine in Tinospora segittata and T.sagittata Var Cravernina.METHODS The HPLC condition was ODS column,acetonitrile-water(1∶1,containing 3.4 g KH 2PO 4 and 1.7 g CH 3(CH 2) 11OSO 3Na per 1000 ml) as mobile phase and 345 nm as detective wavelength.RESULTS The average recoveries were 97.64% and 98.77% for palmatine and jatrorrhizine, respectively.CONCLUSION The method is accurate, simple and sensitive. It can be used for the quality control of Jinguolan.
