Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of transcranial Doppler in the diagnosis of cerebral arterial vasospasm in the postoperative course of intracranial aneurysms. Methods The information of TCD was analyzed by clinical statistics methods. Results In 33patients, there are 15 patients have symptomatic vasospasm after operation. And we found in these patients, the TCD velocity of MCA is large day-to-day increases during Days 3-7 after operation. Conclusion TCD can find the increase of velocity in the cerebral artery before symptomatic vasospasm, and helpful to the treatment of the postoperative course of intracranial aneurysms.
