Abstract
The relationships of chemical composition in tobacco leaf at the different altitudes and soil types of Luliang were studied in this paper. The results showed that, different soil types in all altitudes of Luliang tobacco- growing areas were short of available potassium, total sugar of flue- cured tobacco leaf was overweight. For paddy soil, there were negative correlations between available potassium of tobacco leaf and organic matter of soil,sugar- nicotine ratio of tobacco leaf and soil pH,available potassium, available phosphorous of soil. In the condition of red soil, there were significantly positive correlations between total sugar of tobacco leaf and altitude, reducing sugar of tobacco leaf and altitude. There were significant negative correlations between total sugar of tobacco leaf and soil pH. Significantly positive correlation was showed between potassium of tobacco leaf and altitude, soil available potassium. In conclusion, red soil of Luliang tobacco- growing areas under 1 900 ~ 2 000 m altitude and 2 000 ~ 2 100 m elevation in red soil and paddy soil was more suitable for the development of high quality flue- cured tobacco.
