Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical application value of fluid mode of XE-5000 hematology analyzer in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) cell assay. Methods White blood cell(WBC) count and differential count, red blood cell(RBC) count of 165 CSF samples were measured by XE-5000 hematology analyzer and handwork, respectively. Re-checked rules of CSF cell assay by XE-5000 hematology analyzer were established and then verified. Results of CSF cell assay on patients with specific disease by XE-5000 hematology analyzer were analyzed particularly. Results When WBC count was 10×106/L, there were no significant differences of WBC count and WBC classification between XE-5000 hematology analyzer and handwork(P0.05). When RBC count was 0.5×109/L, there was no significant difference of RBC count between XE-5000 hematology analyzer and handwork(P0.05). Re-checked rules of CSF cell assay by XE-5000 hematology analyzer were proved to be reasonable and feasible. Conclusion Combined with reasonable and feasible re-checked rules, the fluid mode of XE-5000 hematology analyzer might be an effective way to satisfy the clinical demand of automatic CSF cell assay.
