Abstract
Objective To study the iodine nutrition of pregnant women in different occasions.Methods Urinary iodine of pregnant women were determined in 382 cases by 4-methyl diphenylamine by peroxyacetic acid.Results Median urinary iodine of pregnant women were 246 μg/L、216 μg/L、231 μg/L,at 10~14 weeks(first occasion),23~27 weeks(second occasion),and 38~40 weeks(third occasion),the percentage that lower than 100 μg/L were 15.4%,16.0%,10.7%and the percentage that lower than 50 μg/L were 7.4%、5.6%、2.7%.Conclusion Iodine nutrition deficiency existed in many pregnant women in different occasions.It is essential to check up urinary iodine in pregnant women.
