Abstract
Objective To know the iodine nutrition statue of pregnant women in Guizhou. Method Random sample urine in pregnant women in different location of Guizhou with different ethnic groups. Results The median of pregnant urinary iodine was 219 μg/L. Percentages of 100 μg/L and 200 μg/L were higher(18.7% and 21.86% ).The median of pregnant urinary iodine in Dujun and Huaxu was 165 μg/L and 172 μg/L.Percentages of 100 μg/L and 200 μg/L were up to 32.7%-40.6%.Conclusion The urinary iodine level has reached the standard of WHO and China. But percentages of 100 μg/L is still higher. Pregnant urinary iodine should be regularly monitored.
