Abstract
Objective To assess the efficacy of ceftriaxone combined with pidotimod on patients with serofast syphilis. Methods Fifty-nine patients with serofast syphilis were randomly divided into experiment group(31 cases) and control group(28 cases).Patients in the experiment group were treated with intravenous drip of ceftriaxone 2.0 g/d for 15 days, and oral pidotimod 800 mg,once a day for 15 days;those in the control group were offered only intravenous drip of ceftriaxon 2.0 g/d,for 15 days. After three and six months of treatment, the patients were examined by using serum rapid plasma reagent(RPR).Results The difference of efficacy between the two groups was not significant after three months of therapy(P0.05),while that after six months were significant(u=2.02,P0.05).Conclusion Ceftriaxon in combination with pidotimod is effective in the treatment of patients with serofast syphilis.
