Abstract
The two giant Confucians,Zhu Xi of the 12thcentury and Dai Zhen of the 18thcentury,have advocated the idea of people-orientation.However,their connotation and emphasis present huge differences due to their different social status and social background.A study of their differences will deepen our understanding of their historical significance accordingly.
