Therapeutic Observation on Electroacupuncture plus Pricking-cupping Bloodletting for Cervicobrachial Syndrome

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with pricking-cupping bloodletting in treating cervicobrachial syndrome.Method A hundred and twenty patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,60 for each.The treatment group was intervened by electroacupuncture plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy;the control group was by electroacupuncture.The improvement of cervicobrachial symptoms was investigated in the two groups.Result In the treatment group,27 subjects were cured,23 showed marked effect,8 showed improvement,and the total effective rate was 96.7%;in the control group,9 subjects were cured,22 showed marked effect,16 showed improvement,and the total effective rate was 78.3%.There was significant difference between the two groups in comparing total effective rate(P0.05).Conclusion It can achieve a satisfactory therapeutic efficacy by combining electroacupuncture and pricking-cupping bloodletting in treating cervicobrachial syndrome,better than electroacupuncture alone.
