Abstract

Objective To estimate the anesthesia effects of the target controlled infusion(TCI)of remifentanil combined with propofol or isoflurane in elderly patients'general anesthesia. Methods Forty elderly patients scheduled for selective superior belly surgery undergoing general anesthesia were randomly allocated to two groups,TCI of remifentanil and propofol group(RPgroup) and TCI of remifentanil and isoflurane inhalation group(RIgroup). We compared the two group patients' intubation reaction, hemadynamics, induction time, palinesthesia time, memory in operation and adverse reactions after operation. Results RP group's hemadynamics in operation was more stable than RI group.RP group's induction time, palinesthesia time, tracheal intubation, adverse reactions after operation were shorter than RI group. Conclusions TCI of remifentanil combined with propofol can supply stable hemodynamic and adjustable depth of anesthesia.
