Abstract

A quaternary ammonium salt of chitosan(TMCI)was synthesized and its antibacterial activity was studied. It was showed that the TMCI was water soluble, had better antibacterial effect than CMC.The MIC of TMCI to S.aureus was 1.0 mg·mL~(-1),to E.coli and C.albicans were 1.25 mg·mL~(-1).
