Abstract
In order to identify the disease causes of swan goose, the pathogen was isolated and identified by hemagglutination and hemagglutination inhibition test, and its pathogenicity was determined,in May 2012.The results showed that the isolated virus was identified to be Newcastle disease virus(NDV) based on the serological test(named DQBT01).And the indexes of mean death time(MDT) of chicken embryo, intracerebral pathogenicity index(ICPI) in one-day-old chicken and intravenous pathogenicity index(IVPI)was 55h,1.68,2.54 respectively. The results demonstrated that the isolate was a highly pathogenic strain.Swangeese in captivity infected with NDV and so it is necessary to further research on the virus.
