Abstract

The maize inbred line 286-4 contained 4 germplasms that be from European Frigid zone,south and north American,CIMMYT tropic zone composite variety and China temperate zone.It is an excellent inbred line with high GCA,high yield and high resistance to diseases.We had combined out 5 hybrids to overpass variety examine and approve of the provincial or multiple grade.These hybrids were popularized and applied at the widely area.Using 286-4 as one of the basic material to complex population,we have also bred some improved inbred line such as L-41,L-14 and L-19.
