Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between pneumonia mycoplasma infection and lower respiratory tract infection in children.Methods: Serum samples of 206 pediatric patients with lower respiratory infection and 58 normal children as control were detected by immunogold labeling technique for mycoplasma pneumonia antibody.Results: There was significant difference in positive rate of MP-IgM between the children with lower respiratory infection,28.2% and the normal children,5.2%(P0.01).In addition to mycoplasma pneumonia infection,some children complicated with other types of bacterial infection.Conclusion: Pneumonia mycoplasma infection closely related with lower respiratory infection in children.
