Abstract

Objective: To study the effect of 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside on expression of adhesion molecules ICAM-1,VCAM-1 induced by H2O2 on human umbilical vein endothelial cells.Methods: The cultured cells were divided into four groups: control group,H2O2 group,positive group,and TSG group.The expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) respectively.Results:Treated endothelial cells with 200 μmol·L-1 H2O2,the expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein level was significant higher(P0.01).TSG pretreatment endothelial cells for 4h before treated with 200 μmol·L-1 H2O2,results showed that TSG could inhibit the expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein level induced by H2O2 on endothelial cells.Conclusions: TSG can inhibit the expression of adhesion molecules induced by H2O2 on human umbilical vein endothelial cells.
