Abstract
In the Han Dynasty,th eDefense Unit is a kind of military settlement and action district forthe Barbarians Guarders,it is just like a sort of nationality autonomous district.Because of lying in the frontiers,the Defense Unit became a fraction in the frontier military and political management system in the Han Dynasty.However,the Defense Unit was NOT found in the historical masterpieces,but was mentioned by the Han Dynasty Bamboo Books which were found by the archaeologists.Nobody have investigated the problem about theDefense Unit,especially about its social safety functions.The article intends to smooth away to improve the research of the Defense Unit as the complementary opinions.
