Abstract
The catalytic synthesis of iso-amyl caproate with TiSiW 12O 40/TiO 2 as a catalyst has been studied. The factors influencing the synthesis were discussed and the optimum recation conditions were determined as follows: molar ratio of iso-amyl alcohol to hexoic acid is 1.6∶1, the quantity of catalyst is equal to 1.5% feed stock, the reaction temperature is 116℃~128℃, and the reaction time is 45 min. Under the optimum reaction conditions the yield can reach over 91.9%.
