Abstract
In this research, six varieties of maize(Zea mays L.) were chosen and the immature embryos were used to induce embryogenic callus. The factors affecting embryogenic callus regeneration were studied. The results were summarized that induction of embryogenic was inheritable.Different maize genotypes and the concentration of plant hormone showed different ability of embryogenic calli establishment and plant regeneration. On the whole, the concentration of 2,4-D was found to be most important factor for the induction of embryogenic calli.Maize regeneration system had established successfully.
