Abstract

Objective: To investigate the comprehensive value of X-ray mammography and MRI in diagnosing the breast cancer. Methods: 30 cases of patients with breast cancer were enrolled, both mammography and MRI scan were performed, including tumor morphology, calcification, signal characteristics, enhanced mode and Si-time curve. The values of X-ray and MRI were evaluated. Results: 26 masses were found by X-ray mammogram, detection rate was 87.3% and accuracy rate of X-ray was 83.3%; 32 masses were detected by MRI, detection rate was 100.0% and accuracy rate of MRI was 92.7%. Conclusion: A direct and effective means to breast cancer should be based on X-ray. The molybdenum X-ray mammography is helpful in the diagnosis of breast cancer, the sensitivity and specificity combined with MRI are enhanced when compared to that of single modality.
