Abstract
Objective To analyze X-ray mammographic and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) findings of breast disease and to evaluate diagnostic value of X-ray mammography and MRI for breast disease. Methods Retrospective analysis was carried out on the X-ray mammography and MRI of 67 cases of breast disease. MRI respectively adopted fat-suppressed T2WI axial scanning and dynamically enhanced subtraction scanning. X-ray mammography adopted conventional photographing method. Results MRI's diagnostic accuracy rate was 89.5% (with 60 cases diagnosed correctly), while X-ray mammography's diagnostic accuracy rate was 77.6% (with 52 cases diagnosed correctly), which was consistent with the pathological result. The difference was statistically significant(χ2=7.83, P0.05). Conclusion Mammography requires simple operation and relatively low examination cost. It is the first choice for breast cancer screening. MRI shows higher diagnostic accuracy for breast disease than X-ray mammography, and provides an important evidence for the breast.
