Abstract

Ren Hong-jun was one of the initiators of the Science Society of China and the first director.In order to develop Chinese modern science,he took part in establishment of Science Magazine and Science Society of China.In the meanwhile,in order to create the right conditions for development of science undertakings,he chose to be propeller of Chinese modern science undertakings and participated in administration of affairs of the Science Society of China.With their efforts,the Science Society of China tried to introduce western science institutionalization to China.It not only became the stage of propagation of science,but also an important position of science research and one of the most influential scientific community.It can be said that Ren Hong-jun made outstanding contributions to the Science Society of China and the development of Chinese modern science undertakings.
