Abstract
There is close relation between economic development and land use.Economic development must bring important influence on style and structure of land use.The paper mainly analyzes the statistics of the economic development and various types of land use of Yantai City from 1997 to 2006.The results show that,with economic development in Yantai City,agricultural land shows an decreased trend overall,but the orchards and vegetable land enjoying an upward trend;construction land shows an upward trend overall.The paper discusses the impact of economic development on the land use and analyzes the causes of this type of situation.In order to promote sustainable economic development and the rational use of land in Yantai City,a number of relevant measures are put forward.
